Ingredients

  • 1 lb ziti, dry
  • 1 tsp oil
  • 1/2 onion, chopped
  • 1 lb extra-lean ground turkey breast
  • 26 ounces low-sodium pasta sauce
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp dried oregano

Method

  1. 1.
  2. Preheat oven to 350 °F. 2.
  3. Cook ziti according to package directions.
  4. Drain in colander and rinse lightly. 3.
  5. Heat oil in large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.
  6. Sauté onion until golden, about 3 minutes.
  7. Add the ground turkey and cook until no longer pink, about 8 minutes. 4.
  8. Add the sauce.
  9. Bring sauce to a boil; then add the cooked noodles. 5.
  10. Place the ziti mixture in a large baking pan.
  11. Top with cheese and oregano.
  12. Bake until cheese is melted and casserole is heated through, about 20 minutes.
  13. Serve hot
