Over the years I have tried numerous diets but the best I achieved was about 1 stone lost, which was nowhere near enough for my situation. I have Lymphedema on both my lower legs they had swelled up so much that I had trouble walking. They were so painful and I was hospitalised a good few times with skin infections. They made me 2 sets of stockings that I had to wear every day. Strong ones for the day and weaker strength for nighttime which I have changed every 6 months.My life was unhappy having to be bandaged daily from my groins down to my feet.

After coming out of hospital I began slimming world which started off OK. I was following their plan for about a year and a half, in which time I lost 4 stone. It was an arduous journey and very slow moving. I seemed to be eating none stop all day everyday because there was 'speed food' and 'free food' so the volume of food I was eating never changed.

I was making healthier food choices but it took me a while to realise that my appetite was never changing because my stomach was not able to adjust to reasonable food portions and shrink. It was then that I hit a brick wall and for 3 months and felt like I was yoyo dieting, putting weight on and off with every passing day. I had become really despondent, I felt like I was getting there one week and being knocked back the next week. I needed a change as I was so determined to lose the weight.

One day I trawled through Google reading about different diets, it was then that I came across Shake That Weight. I thought; well what have I got to lose? I never believe what I read on the internet and I must admit that I was skeptical but I thought I have tried everything else and I ordered 2 weeks supply.

What can I say but WOW, it's the best money I have ever spent on myself in my entire life! The first week I was amazed as I lost 10 pound* and every week after that I lost weight. I lost 3 stone* in 11 weeks I was so over joyed with all the meals I purchased, as I liked every one of them, especially the porridge.

Shake That Weight has taught me a lot about myself that I did not realise before; I was an over eater and a compulsive kind of person. I needed a controlled diet instead of just being told "oh you can eat a whole chicken" on slimming world because it's 'free food' and "lots of fruit, potatoes, pasta, rice etc" because it's 'free food'. This approach led to my weight fluctuating week to week.

I am so happy I found Shake That Weight as it has taught me to eat healthy, but in moderation and I have learned how to portion my meals to the correct size and drink a lot more water than I was used to. I made some alternative changes too like using cauliflower rice instead of white rice and mashed cauliflower instead of white potato mash, alongside using no carb pasta.

I have been off the Shake That Weight plan for 2 weeks now. I am eating very healthy and I am still at my target weight for the first time in years!

I still get so much satisfaction from things in life thanks to my weight change. I took my daughter swimming the other day, when previously I felt too uncomfortable. When I go to a restaurant my belly does not touch the table anymore and other people can sit next to me comfortably without me invading their personal space because of my weight. I am now in a new chapter of my life.

I have started going to the gym with a personal trainer to tone up my body and I am feeling amazing. I can see changes already that I never could of reached without finding Shake That Weight.

I started off at 19 stone I am now 11 stone 10*. OH! At my last visit to the hospital they told me that the lymphedema has virtually gone and it is down to the weight loss! After many years under them I have now been discharged :)

It is an amazing diet and believe me it really does work. All the staff are so kind and helpful, they really take time to listen and advise throughout your journey. The Facebook support group is fantastic and it's changed my life for the better. I don't think I could ever give up the porridge and I still have it now as I love it
